MONOSCAPES

BLACK/WHITE IMAGES - Archival pigment prints

The three images of the Jumpers were digitally printed from Agfa Scala black and white slide film.  This film is scarce and there may be only one lab in this country that

will still process it.  This is an open edition and prints are available in 2 sizes.  There are a few smaller sizes that are Iris prints and are indicated as such.

IRIS PRINTS from Polaroid 35mm Slide Film - Big Bend Series

ARCHIVAL PIGMENT PRINTS from Polaroid 35mm Slide Film - Abiquiu Series

This series of black and white images was shot using 35mm Polaroid Instant Slide Film. Because the film was designed to be projected not printed, it produces very

grainy images with a luminous quality similar to infra-red images, very contrasty with rich black tones. That is part of the beauty of these images when printed. These

are the last series using this unique film as it has long been discontinued by Polaroid and is no longer available.

The earlier series from the Big Bend in Texas are Iris giclee prints on archival rag paper.  There are only a few remaining Iris prints and are indicated as such. These

images are now printed as digital archival pigment prints. The images from the Abiquiu series are digital archival pigment prints only.
